Tide Keeper โ€” Level 1475 Second Sea boss behind Forgotten Island. Drops Dragon Trident (7.5%) and Water Key (40%). Key for unlocking Sharkman Karate and Godhuman.

How to Find Tide Keeper โ€” Exact Location

He is not on the main part of the island โ€” he is behind it on a separate platform.

1

Sail to Forgotten Island (Second Sea)

Forgotten Island is one of the easternmost islands in the Second Sea. It has a distinctive green jungle appearance. Sail toward it from the Kingdom of Rose โ€” it is a fair distance out and is easy to miss because it looks similar to other green islands at range.

2

Do NOT Land on the Main Island

The main Forgotten Island area has regular enemies. Tide Keeper is not here. Navigate your boat around to the back of the island โ€” look for a small separate rocky platform set apart from the main landmass.

3

Find the Platform Behind the Island

Sail all the way to the back (far side) of Forgotten Island and look for a raised platform structure. Tide Keeper stands on this platform. He is clearly visible once you clear the main island's edge โ€” green pants, golden skeleton shoulder pads, yellow shoes and green hair.

4

Accept the Quest First

The Forgotten Quest Giver NPC is on the main island area near the edge closest to Tide Keeper's platform. Accept the quest before fighting โ€” defeating him without an active quest means no Beli or EXP reward from the quest board.

Server Hop Strategy: Tide Keeper respawns every 15 minutes. For Water Key farming (Sharkman Karate) or Dragon Trident grinding, server hop after each kill. At 40% Water Key drop rate, expect 2โ€“3 kills per key on average. At 7.5% Dragon Trident rate, expect 10โ€“15 kills per drop.

Water Key โ€” The Main Reason to Farm

The Water Key unlocks Sharkman Karate from the Daigrock NPC inside the underwater cave at Underwater City (Second Sea). Sharkman Karate requires Fishman Karate at 400 Mastery first. Getting the Water Key is the primary reason most players farm Tide Keeper โ€” it is on the critical path to Godhuman.

๐Ÿ”ฑ

Dragon Trident โ€” Sword Drop

The Dragon Trident is a Legendary Second Sea sword with sea-themed moves. At 7.5% drop rate it takes an average of 13โ€“14 kills per drop. Most players pick up the Dragon Trident naturally while farming for the Water Key since the Water Key drops faster. Full Dragon Trident stats are in our Dragon Trident guide.

How to Beat Tide Keeper โ€” Strategy Guide

Two key mechanics make this fight harder than his level suggests.

Sea Beast Summon: Tide Keeper can summon a Sea Beast mid-fight. If a Sea Beast spawns and you are struggling, reset your character โ€” the Sea Beast will despawn and Tide Keeper will not regain any HP lost before your reset. This is the safest method if you are underleveled or solo.

๐Ÿƒ Stay at Range

Tide Keeper deals up to 2,000 damage per hit at close range. Stay outside his melee range and spam long-range attacks. Ranged fruit builds (Magma, Venom, Light, Flame) are all effective without taking significant damage.

๐ŸŽ Best Fruits

Awakened Magma โ€” walk on water near the platform, sustained lava DoT. Light โ€” fast M1 speed at range. Venom โ€” DoT keeps damage ticking while you stay mobile. Any fruit with good range works since Tide Keeper does not have strong ranged attacks.

๐Ÿง˜ Buddha Method

Awakened Buddha transform + any fighting style works reliably for solo kills. The size bonus makes every AoE hit connect easier and the defense boost reduces incoming damage significantly. Fastest consistent solo kill method at Level 1475+.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Group Farming

Two or more players dramatically speed up Tide Keeper kills. Split the quest, rotate attacks, and server hop together. A team of three can complete a full Dragon Trident grind session in a fraction of the solo time required.

For context on the Sharkman Karate chain that the Water Key unlocks โ€” and how it connects to Godhuman โ€” see our full fighting style progression guide. Tide Keeper is the gating boss for one of the most important style prerequisites in the game.

  • Level 1475, 105,000 HP โ€” on a hidden platform behind Forgotten Island, Second Sea
  • 15-minute respawn โ€” server hop after each kill for efficient farming
  • Can summon Sea Beast mid-fight โ€” reset character if struggling, Sea Beast despawns, no HP refill
  • Deals up to 2,000 damage per melee hit โ€” always fight at range
  • Dragon Trident: 7.5% drop โ€” expect 13โ€“14 kills average
  • Water Key: 40% drop โ€” expect 2โ€“3 kills average โ€” unlocks Sharkman Karate
  • Quest reward: 51,000,000 EXP + 12,500 Beli โ€” always accept quest before fighting
  • Godhuman path: Water Key โ†’ Sharkman Karate 400 Mastery โ†’ one of five Godhuman prerequisites

Tide Keeper sits right before the rip_indra fight and Third Sea transition. Players typically farm him for Water Key to unlock Sharkman Karate before pushing to Level 1500 and completing the King Red Head questline.

Tide Keeper and Sharkman Karate โ€” The Full Connection

Why the Water Key is the most important thing Tide Keeper drops.

Sharkman Karate is one of the five fighting styles required for Godhuman. The full chain: buy Fishman Karate from Gyatz in Underwater City, grind it to 400 Mastery, obtain the Water Key from Tide Keeper, then bring it to Daigrock in the Underwater City cave who teaches Sharkman Karate for 2,500 Fragments.

At 40% Water Key rate, most players get it in 2โ€“3 Tide Keeper kills. The bigger bottleneck is reaching 400 Fishman Karate Mastery before the key is useful. Plan this grind during the same time you are leveling toward Level 1475 to access Tide Keeper.

Tide Keeper EXP Value vs Other Late Second Sea Bosses

Tide Keeper gives 51,000,000 EXP per quest โ€” more than most Second Sea bosses. Combined with Dragon Trident and Water Key drops, he is the best multi-purpose boss in the late Second Sea. Players at Level 1400โ€“1500 should chain Tide Keeper and Awakened Ice Admiral quest runs for the most efficient combined EXP, Beli, and key drops before the Third Sea unlock quest.

Dragon Trident โ€” Second Sea Sword Drop

The Dragon Trident is the other major Tide Keeper drop at 7.5%. It is a sea-themed Legendary sword with two moves โ€” both carry a water and dragon aesthetic fitting the Tide Keeper boss theme. Most players who farm for the Water Key accumulate enough kills to also get the Dragon Trident in the same session. At Level 1475, the Dragon Trident is a strong sword option before transitioning to Third Sea weapons.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Tide Keeper in Blox Fruits?

โ–ผ
On a raised platform behind Forgotten Island in the Second Sea. Sail around to the back of the main island and look for a separate rocky platform โ€” he stands there visibly with green pants and golden skeleton shoulder pads. The Forgotten Quest Giver is on the edge of the main island nearby.

What does Tide Keeper drop in Blox Fruits?

โ–ผ
Dragon Trident at 7.5%, Water Key at 40%, guaranteed Fragments, 51,000,000 EXP (quest), and 12,500 Beli (quest). The Water Key is the primary farming target โ€” it unlocks Sharkman Karate, which is a prerequisite for Godhuman.

What is the Water Key used for in Blox Fruits?

โ–ผ
The Water Key unlocks Sharkman Karate from the Daigrock NPC in the underwater cave at Underwater City (Second Sea). Sharkman Karate requires Fishman Karate at 400 Mastery. It is one of five fighting styles needed to unlock Godhuman โ€” making Tide Keeper a key boss for endgame progression.

How often does Tide Keeper respawn in Blox Fruits?

โ–ผ
Every 15 minutes. Server hop immediately after each kill to find fresh spawns in new servers rather than waiting. At 40% Water Key rate, expect 2โ€“3 kills per key, making the grind very fast across multiple server hops.

What happens if Tide Keeper summons a Sea Beast?

โ–ผ
If you cannot handle both simultaneously, reset your character. The Sea Beast will despawn after the reset, and Tide Keeper will NOT regain any HP he lost before you reset. Return and continue the fight from where his health was depleted.

What is the best strategy to beat Tide Keeper?

โ–ผ
Stay at range โ€” he deals 2,000 damage per melee hit but has limited ranged attacks. Use Awakened Magma, Venom, or Light for ranged damage. Awakened Buddha is the most reliable solo method for consistent kills. If a Sea Beast spawns and complicates the fight, reset your character to despawn it.
